We've been doing all this cool stuff on vacation, touring amazing caves, petting kangaroos and emus, feeding tropical birds etc. But the most exciting thing so far is that the light outside on the patio of our hotel room caught fire and we had to call the front desk who called the fire department, all the trucks came and we got to watch, it was so exciting! Then we got upgraded from the cheapest room in the place (cause thats all we wanted to pay for) to the delux jacuzzi room for free! It was awsome! I took alot of pictures and video, i will update at the end of vaca!

Ron and I are now the proud owners of a new Xbox 360 elite, and rockband. We have been having a blast with it, Pat is getting really good at the drums and of course i am vocals, ron on guitar and marcus on bass (he keeps getting 100% on hard, the bastard.) I am even getting pretty good on expert level. Anyway, thats about all thats going on here, missa will be up for her birthday and we are going bar-ing. If anyone wants to be in the Grand rapids area the weekend of the 21st you may come along. And Melissa... WE CAN PLAY ROCKBAND NOW! YAY, and i swear pat will let you do the drums, he can be bass when marcus is not here. for my upcoming birthday i have requested of ron that he get me the bubblegum pink wireless controller and Beautiful Katamari, girly enough for me ya think?

life is pretty bad when your boyfriend and your best friend cant find the time of day to talk to you. I actually wish i was at work instead of at home this weekend, at least there its not so lonely.
Well we are almost done with the basement, ive been working on that all day today and during most of my freetime this week. I went down to feed rosie, the bearded dragon, today and found a surprise in her cage. Grim the cat apparently was sitting on the screen on top of her cage and fell in, he was laying in the cage pawing at the door, trying to find a way back out, guess he was scared of the lizard. Well thats about it.

I found this article on my monthly mailing from the Humane society of the United States. Its sick that things like this still slip through the rules of proper labeling in retail settings.
The article is about brand name jackets and coats that are labled as "faux fur" actually being real fur from raccoons dogs and rabbits.

Ron and I are going to his parents for christmas eve and then to my parents for christmas. Thank goodness only one more week of work and school left! Then a five day weekend, two days on and another two day weekend. I am mostly done with shopping and wrapping, I always end up buying at least a few things last minute anyway.
Spent the last couple of days making some treats for the ladies at work. I made dark chocolate raspberry truffles, and white chocolate Irish cream Truffles. I had a few extra, they were delicious.
Umm, not much else going on, the damn cats keep eating plants, they are going to eat something toxic some day. I need to go get them some cat grass bad.
Lately we have been working on the basement to finish it and drywall it for Ron and my use. We have finished framing and insulating and are nearly done with the drywall, the next step is the floor and decorating. Yay! I cant wait to be a whole floor away from everyone else in the house. Well happy HOlidays All! Drive safe, eat lots of food!

10:12 am - HARRY POTTER (I wish you could WRITE with a british accent)
We bought our tickets weeks ago for the first showing of the newest Harry potter. I went with Ron, Delia, her boyfriend Pat, Alyson, and my cousin Jerry. So we all got black t-shirts and decorated them to make them Harry Potter shirts. It was great fun. We got to the theater an hour and a half early and the line already went from theater number one all the way down the hall 6 more theaters and bent all the way back down the hall toward the entrance again by the ticket taker and that is were we got in line, thats ok, the seats were still good. there had to be 500 in that auditorium if not more.
I wont spoil it for non readers of the book, but it was very good. They picked great actors for the new characters. Anyway, it went until 2:40 in the morning, and Ron had to be to work at 8, me at 11. So we thought "oh we'll just go right to sleep now" but no... the damn cats decided that since we were gone all night, now it was time to play with us, they went barrelling through the house knocking things over and jingling the little bells on the collars aroung their neck until I wanted to "ring" their little neckS! So anyway I got only about 2 hours of sleep, of course Ron slept through it all, boys always do. those cats are as good as gagged if they interrupt my sleep tonight

I went to Jafax 12 this weekend at the Grand Valley Campus. It was pretty fun but no where near as good as other years. First off we got there late so we didnt get all the good stuff in our goodie bags. Also they werent showing any particularly good anime. AND they didnt have any Remune pop, so I just loaded up on Hi-chew and pocky. And I got ron a cute shirt and myself a cute pin and I got to dress up, so all was well. here are some pics of the group all dressed up. In case you cant tell Delia is Excel of Excel Saga. Actually she pulled it off pretty well with her half assed job on the costume- everybody loved it!

Ok, so i havent updated in a while. Not much to say. I got a new kitty. Missa already posted a pic of him. He is wonderful and QUIET thank god. Rons feet are still stuck in the mud, no change there, probably never will be. My job is still the same, getting a new crop of kids soon.
On a just as boring note. We just saw the latest installment of pirates of the carribean. Loved it. very cool.
Im gonna miss melissa so so much. I know we didnt see eachother much even when she lived closer, but its not just distance. She's moving on with her life. And, well, as afore mentioned my life is one big pool of NOTHING ever CHANGING. I hate it sometimes. Ive given up excitement for stability. Maybe I need to go back to school, though Im not sure if that is where excitement is to be found.
I want to travel, why must i work a stupid job every day. I want to leave and visit the relatives in Germany. Go shopping in Milan. Visit a cloud forest in Peru, god anything but this stuffy cramped apartment.

I just got back from one wonderful week in florida. It was spectacular! The weather was all clear skies and temps in the high seventies! We went to Disney World wich was great fun. We went on the splash mountain ride like 3 times. We also went fishing in the gulf. Ron caught two things that My dad and I have never caught in the decades that my family has been going to those peirs to fish. He got a puffer fish, wich was totally awsome, it puffed up to the size of a softball and foamed at the mouth! He also caught a squid! Its tentacles writhed when we took it off the hook and it inked when we threw it back in the water.
sadly Im back from florida now. Ron and I are going to Adrian for st.patty's Ron's sister Tracy wants to take us around to the bars. Im kinda excited about that, and cause I finally have two days off at the same time with ron ( you know, not like we just had a week together or anything).
I miss the palm trees.

10:50 am - unhappy valentines day
Well it has been a hard week for my family. Three weeks ago or so we found out my grandpa had pancreatic cancer that had already spread to his liver and spleen. This came as a big shock because he had been healthy all his life. He would go around with his band to nursing homes to sing to the old folk there and hunted and fished all the time, and took walks with his dog every day. On valentines day I got a call to say that he was getting really bad and may not last the night. So I left work after only two hours and rushed up there. He could barely talk and his blood pressure was so low I couldnt believe he was still alive. but I got to lay next to him and hold his hand. And he still new me and could say he loved me. I saw him again after work the next day and all I could think when I layed next to him was how his hands felt soft. He was always such a hard worker and an outdoorsman his hands were always hard and calloused. Ron left the day after Valentines for a work trip so I was pretty lonely and sad and worried. When ron got home last night we went out for dinner since we hadnt gotten to celebrate Valentines day yet. While we were standing in line to get a table at Olive Garden my mom called me and said that grandpa was gone. That was my last grandparent and he was always my hero. Its hard to believe I'll never go camping or fishing with him again, or hear him sing. I miss him so much already.

my poor car. First i hit a deer and it was $3000 worth of damage, so i brought it in to the body shop. the same day i got it back it stalled out so i brought it in for engine work. that didnt take too long and i got it back, when i started out of the drive i noticed that my odometer was not working, so i brought it back to the service door and went in to ask them to look at it. While i was standing in line to get service i watched one of their secretaries walk past my car, get into her SUV and back into my car, bashed in the door and broke off the mirror, so now i need all of the right side of my car replaced. while it was in for that body work the guys looked at the odometer and say that its not essential to fix it, but if i want it fixed they have to replace the entire dash electric component for $400. this is really getting depressing, so needless to say, i have NO money, just more debt now.
anyway- not much else going on.

a deer hit my car! my new beautiful car, a stupid deer hit it!!! now it is ugly and there fore must go in for plastic, uhh, or fiberglass, surgery on monday. I hope it turns out well.
Ron is gone home for thanksgiving,this is only the second time ive been without him in like 3 months now. Last time he left was only last week for three days to set up a new Walgreens in Hillsdale. The next walgreens he is going away to set up will be after january and it is in.... ALMA! So I will have to see if that coincides so that I could maybe come visit and he could hang out with us when he gets out of work. Thanksgiving went ok. Good food, only my cousin came but we went shopping the next day so that was cool. I have all of my christmas shopping done now!
Alma Girls! We need to set up a time either on a weekend or after 7pm on a weekday so that I can come up and give you your x-mas presents.
only a few weeks left till christmas break (of course mine is only a four day weekend) trudge on through my friends. Happy shopping!

Survived my first week of cohabitation, it went wonderfully. I CANT WAIT TO HAVE YOU ALL OVER > YOU PEEPS BETTER COME SEE ME! if you do i promise i will never call you "peeps" again, unlesss referring to the marshmallow thingies. So i put the finishing touches on Ron's costume so we can be kick ass for halloween. MELISSA WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BE? SHOULD I HELP? Definately bring john, yay! people are coming over! I love halloween. I want to make cookies and decorate and stuff. well, tata!!

Halloween Party!
Well I said I would do it, and so I am. You are all invited to a halloween party at Ron (my boyfriend for those who don' know) and my new apartment. We are planning it for the saturday before halloween, which would be OCTOBER 28th. Start showing up whenever you want, but if you want a specific time, lets run for six pm. here is a map that shows how to get to the apartment complex-

Next week Friday is our move in date. Yes I said WE. Ron is finally all transferred up here. We get to move in to our new apartment next friday. Consequently the following sunday is also our one year. So that is all exciting.
Whe he got up here for his first day of work they said " you got a really good report from your previous boss" so not only did he get his 6 months raise, but he also got promoted to systems inventory management coordinator. So he gets a pay raise for that too. Im so proud, im always envious of people who are harder workers than me, I just am too lazy- so I never get ahead.
Im doing about the same at my preschool job. I am taking an online course in the basics of preschool accreditation in october. But otherwise nothing new or exciting.
Im not sure what to get for ron for our anniversary, but he doesnt have an MP3 player yet, and I saw this cool one that is only 4 gig but it has video as well as am/fm, photo and mp3 for not too expensive, so I may go for that.
OH! and we got a bearded dragon, havent taken any pictures yet, so Ill have to do that and post them, but he is the cutest little baby ever. He is just going through his first shed now. We ended up having to by crickets by the thousand online cause he eats like 3 dozen a day and they cost $1 a dozen at the nearest pet store. So we get a thousand for $15 instead. Any way, that lizard is the shit. I may visit alma this weekend sunday if anyone is going to be there. let me know.

Wow, long time since my last update. I was in Adrian this weekend as usual. I got to grap melissa and we went to the Toledo mall. That was fun. I got a nifty dress and I got melissa for like 4 hours it was wonderful. I also saw the worst movie ever made just because there was nothing else playing at the time that I hadn't already seen. Melissa dont kill me, I know, what was I thinking even going to this movie. Beerfest. OMG it was so so so so so horrible. Dont go see it.
Anyway, In very good news on this half, Ron is moving to Grand Rapids. Im so so excited. I cant wait to have him around all the time. God, I miss him so much during the week, its going to be marvelous having him with me. I think we are going to stay at my parents' until we find a place, and save money away while we're here. Then find a small cheap place. And since I will be with him all week then I will visit Alma every few weekends YAY!
The old school year is ending at my preschool and we are getting a new batch of kids next week. Im a little nervous, I mean, it took me so long to get to know these kids well and deal with them accordingly, I dont know how im gonna do with a new bunch.

Im not very good at frequently posting, that could have to do with my lack of working net here. Anyway. last night was my sister Amber's wedding. I got to be a bridesmaid for the first time, so i got to wear a pretty dress and sing for the wedding. Ron came to be my date (woohoo!!!) and i dressed him (essentially) and he was friggin adorable. Melissa came (double woohoo!) and so even though i didnt see her for a long time i am so glad she came, and Melissa I have something that I made for you dear, so remind me to give it to you next time I see you, else i will forget, you know me.
what else... I went out to a bonfire at the house of one of the girls that I was friends with in highschool. We were in our chambers choir together, and one of the other girls from that group came too. So I got to meet CarryAnne's (girl whos house i was at) boyfriend. He looks and acts kind of like alot of people I hung out with at Alma, and his name is Ransome- bizzaar... and the other girl is getting married next fall. Geeze why is everyone in such a rush. *shrug* I guess you cant really help WHEN you find the right guy. but still...
I want to see nettie!!! you said you would visit me for my birthday and you didnt! you owe me a drink girl.
I went to the zoo today with jaydalyn (my 3year old neice) and she was a perfect little angel for the first time since she turned 2! It was alot of fun.

Awhile ago i sent in my first alma loan payment it was only for like $65 a month or something, but I thought "I have a bit of money now, i will pay off as much as i can afford at the moment and be done with it" so I paid off $3,000 of it all at once. So that was like a month ago,and this month instead of sending me a billing statement they sent me a paper that said I now dont owe anything until sometime in 2010. That feels good. Now i can kinda pay this off at my leisure.
I renewed my drivers liscence last week. now I have my paper one, but wont get my new one until the day of my birthday.
Arrg. I am sooo booorrrreeed. Im not used to entertaining myself all weekend. I was all psyched cause ron had this weekend off. But of course stupid boys cant ever do anything for themselves and he cant get up here this weekend. I know gas is expensive, but christ- I drive to seem him almost every weekend. He could put in a little effort every once in a while. I dont know if he is trying to hint something to me or what. but i absolutely hate feeling like Im the only one who tries in a relationship, whether with a boyfriend or just any friend. I hate being the one always expected to put a foot forward. Like everyone always saying "how come you never come visit me (in alma, or adrian or flint etc.) but not once this year has anyone come to visit me from alma, unless to pick me up on the way through, and adrian people only come to see me if I make a big deal about it or beg for it. anyway...
Congrats to everyone in alma on another year over and done. Jeanette, melissa and linny need to CALL ME!!!!!!!! now
